Sandy Bay – Taroona Cycleway
Right, no beating around the bush here. The Hobart City Council has put together a plan for a proposed cycleway that will allow riders to travel from Marieville Esplanade in Sandy Bay all the way through to Taroona. It’s a big project, and one that will provide massive benefits for cyclists, walkers and motorists. As with all projects of this type, public feedback is ridiculously important. Cycling is an activity that a massive number of people take part in, and by providing even the smallest amount of feedback you will be adding your name to the list. It’s great to see the HCC taking notice of the wants and needs of Hobart’s cyclists, so do your bit and let them know what you think. The more feedback that’s provided at this early stage, the more likely it is that the end result will be perfect.
Click the link below to download a PDF file with the information. If you don’t feel like reading it all, the important part is that you go view the public display at the Hobart Council Centre, 16 Elizabeth St, Hobart between July 23rd and August 27th. Check it out and provide some feedback. Get involved, your voice makes a difference!
